How do you determine the school district for a school?

The schools displayed are based on the boundary lines that define a specific area. All schools that are identified by NCES (National Center for Education Statistics) and are inside of the boundary lines will be included. 
 
Private schools that reside outside of the boundary but are within a mile of the boundary lines, will also be included. We may also include public schools outside of the boundary lines if a school's attendance area includes parcels within the defined boundary.
