The displayed price ranges list both the upper end of one range and the lower end of the next. However, each range technically ends just before the start of the next one. For example, the "$200,000 - $400,000" range actually includes values from $200,000 up to $399,999.99.

So, the accurate interpretation of the chart is:

• $200,000 – $399,999

• $400,000 – $599,999

• $600,000 – $799,999

• $800,000 – $999,999

• $1,000,000 – $1,199,999

• $1,200,000 – $1,399,999

• $1,400,000 – $1,599,999

• $1,600,000 – $1,849,999

• $1,850,000 – $1,999,999

So, a listing price of $600k would be in the $600k to $800k range, because it equals the low price range. It would not be in the $400k to $600k range because it equals the high price value of $600k, and is not less than that.
